I have googled around for Stellar Coins information, I am getting more and more interested in it and is trying to explore the functionality of the Stellar Coins. But I must say I still need a lot of information. Have tried joining the Stellar Coins forums to see if I can get more information and learn more about this stellar coin :)
“You had to have a Facebook account, and there are certain checks to make sure that an account was not created before our launch. Also, more checks have been added,” she said. "I would say that a lot of that was overblown."
One key difference is that 95% of the currency is being given away for free at the outset, the bulk of it from an initial issuance of 100 billion coins created by the not-for-profit foundation that will run the project. New coins will be later added at no cost to the circulation at a rate of 1% per year.
Fortune has an article on Stellar Coin New Bitcoin challenger launches. We learned that the San Francisco-based startup Stripe launches the currency Stellar and a payment network such that you can send in one currency and have it delivered in any currency anywhere in the world. Of the 95 billion Stellars, half will be given to people who signed up via Facebook.
With some of Silicon Valley’s brightest at the helm, Stellar has just as good a chance as any current crypto-currency perhaps to be, well, stellar.
I can see that there are already at least two community forums for Stellar Coin, looking to joining them to find more about Stellar Coins and the usage.

I have not seen much usage of Stellar Coin yet. I guess it is still too new. Trying to Google some information on the usage, which leads me to the value of Stellar Coin. It seems that even before usage, there are already people trading in the Stellar Coin. The value of Stella Coin can be found here. Ath this moment it is still quite low at 0.00492 to the Dollar.
At this moment I am more into finding out more about the History and the uses of Stellar Coin, have not gotten in to the trading of such coins yet.
Initially I had an issue as I cannot find where is the sign up for Stellar Coin, thats why I click on LOG IN which gets me to a login page as well as the Sign Up page. The Sign up is extremely easy and teaches the basic steps as you go along with the Sign up. Do note tyhat you will need a Facebook account to connect to get the Stellar Coins.
Once this is done, you will be asked to login to Facebook, receive the Stellar Coins and sent the Stellar Coins for practice and that's it, concluding with verifying to get a lost password key from your email. There is some good information below:
I had just come across Stellar. Seems to be like an extremely promising transaction processing protocol to me. Well at least it got me interested enough to sign up and see what's in there. At the moment, there isn't much except Sign Up, Connect to Face Book, Receive Stellar Coin and Send Stellar Coin as well as get the password retrieval key. The process is quite simple and I got some Stellar Coins to play with. Still trying to find out how I can play around with this new kid on the block. Stellar is a method for sending and receiving money or currency. You do not need to have the same currency in order to send and receive, for instance you can have US Dollar and send the the receiver as Swiss Francs for instance. The permutations is immense and frankly I am still reading and learning where I create this blog out of interest for Stella Coin.
You can learn more about Stellar at Stellar Learn.
This gives a brief description on Stellar. To get more information, I would suggest reading up on the FAQs and doing some Googling. I feel that even though this new crypto coin is know as Stellars, it is easier to Google Stellar Coin for more information.
